Census Outreach Ideas
Many in-person events hosted by Local Complete Count Committees, Community Organizations, or the Census Bureau have been cancelled for the safety and well-being of staff and attendees. Ensuring an accurate count is essential, so we hope some of the following ideas for outreach that do not involve in-person contact are helpful.
-
Ensure Census information and promotion is in whatever communications folks are tuning into for information about COVID-19 such as 1) local newspapers or neighborhood bulletins, 2) school newsletters, emails, or text messages, 3) county or city government communications, 4) Church or religious service emails, newsletters, or bulletins, or 5) afterschool program newsletters, emails, or text messages
-
Have census information present at food pick-up sites or distribute in food bags.
